Monday 11th
On our first fully day at collage we spend the fully doing improvisation activity's, these would help us for our up and coming project at the Stockton Globe which is a Halloween walk through experience. we played games like mafia winky murder ( its like winky murder but if you are wink, instead of dying you have to kill someone but it has to be creative) and a game called what u doing where u have to go into the middle f the circle and ask the person there "before what u doing" and the person who was first in the middle has to tell them what they have to do in the middle for example singing or being a dog
Tuesday 12th
Today we meet with our singing teacher Tom for the first time and we went through some singing exercise. we learned singing techniques like warming up, siren's and some ways to keep your body heathy. this helps us as a class because it was preparing us for the step of learning how to sing and the voice warms ups can help me as an actor even if I'm not singing but doing a performances where i have to shout so I don't strain my voices
Wednesday 13th
Today we did more Stockton globe prep by doings some more improvisation work and learning to accept. what this means is that no matter what happens when your in the role u just have to accept what is happing and can not break character.
Thursday 14th
Today what we did was we did some research on what subjects we could do for the Stockton globe, we based this off what we primary schools learn from in there history. Some off these are jack the ripper, ww2, titanic, henry 8th and many more. We got split into group and we where allocated different subjects. my group was the titanic.

Monday 18th
Today Kelly gave us a improvisation task that we where a Tug of War team playing for the tournament. so had to do a training then the morning of that day then the match. We had to do stuff like feel the wait of the rope and show how heavy it was and pull on the rope and improvise that if we where losing or winning
Tuesday 19th
Today it was our first day working on Peter Pan, we did a warm up and then we sang through a couple of the audition songs and sang through a company song. these songs are hooks song " Rich Dam Cake" and the company songs the darlings. this help me because it has given me some help with how rich Damp cake should be sung and now i can but my own style into but still keep on the basic line of things thanks to Tom
Wednesday 20th
Today tom taught us some movement and some dances moves helping us again for Peter Pan when we will have to-do this. the song we dances to was freak flag from Shrek the musical. it help me because i have not done musical theatre dance in about 5 months so it was good to start something that was very easy to learn again
Thursday 21th
Today Kelly introduces us to josh. the person who will help us with the Stockton globe. This is because he working there and he needed everyone's ideas for the show so him and Kelly could get an idea of how the story line will go. we also ones he left start getting our ideas on its feet by acting it out.
Monday 25th
Today Kelly was teaching us the importance's of listening, what this means is that you respond to what happing in the scene and not try to take centre of attention. Kelly first of all made us do a improvised scene but we had to talk in gibberish. we where given a theme but we had to see if we could flow with our partner. after that we performed it inform of the class but they could switch it any time from gibberish to English and we had to keep the flow which we did. the second with we did was we partnered up with someone different and had to chose a mini script scene from teams that we had to perform. Me and Jack chose to do the Heist and our performances was good because he bounds off each other really well. helping me with listening and devising work.
Tuesday 26th
today was our singing day with tom, so he taught us some of the lyrics to freak flag from Shrek the musical, he gave us some solo parts our group parts to sing through out the song. like me and 2 other boys got the role of the 3 little piggy. then ones we learned the song we but the dances movement that we learned last week and but them together to create this pieces. this will help us because it is training for Peter Pan for when we have too sing and dances to some of the group song like Rich damp cake for example or Brave for War.
Wednesday 27th
today we watch the rest of the performances. all of the class mates did such a good job and it was nice to see how talent people are in the class which surprised a few people. not only was it good to see other people talents but it was educational because we gave feed back in the right way. we gave feed back by saying how good the performances was and how they could of made it better by maybe being loader or more facial expressions. but not on the way that they did it ( I made that mistake ) but its good to know what the different is.
Thursdays 28th
today we did a lot of things. firstly the whole class went over to the Stockton Globe so we could have a tour of the spaces we could use for our show by josh. it was really helpful to speak to josh and Kelly about ideas and practical stuff we could use for the spaces that we where most likely are going to be given. so for example for my group the titanic we are most likely going to be using the entrances of the globule for our part because its got a lot of space and entrances and exits for actors to run out at people to scare them. secondly on the night most of the class including me went to go see the woman in black at the forum theatre. first of all it was a very scary play that made most of us scared of the dark for the next 2 days after that. second of all it was really good inspiration for the Stockton Global as we can use that idea of being watch through out the tour so the audience feels scared.
OCTOBER
Monday 2nd
today we where back into the theatre with Kelly. what we did today was some more skill improvement. so the main task of the day was to learn tough twisters that no one heard of before. then to teach it to the other groups and they teach us there's. this really help our speaking skills because we practised how to pronouns words better and my Cleary helping us with our audition on Thursday.
Tuesday 3rd
today Tom taught us the very basic of stage combat unarmed. Everyone was very exited to do stage combat today but Tom taught us some of the Rule. they are eye contact because if you just throw a punch and there not ready. they could get injured badly. so we learned how to throw a punch, upper cut, pull hair and stamp on toes. after that we did with our partner a 4 moves fight scene and they all turned out really well. the second part of the day was going a whole class fight scene about peter pan. i played captain hook and it was really good for what we did in them 2 hours. i think it was useful because it give us a little bit on in sight on what we will be doing for fight wise in peter pan and teaching us skill we may need to us in our future shows.
Wednesday 4th
today we spend the morning playing games just to help with our skill but then after break we all went our own ways to go work on a monolog for Thursdays as it was for the auditions for the Stockton globe. out of the many roles that I could of gone for I went for William T Stead. he was a man from Northern eco who was a freedom fighter who died on the Titanic. so I did a load of research on him and I practised my monolog getting ready for Thursday.
Thursdays 5th
today it was audition day. so I had been practising all night and I came up with a few idea I could do in the audition which worked really well like spit water out of my mouth to create a more creepy vibe as I am playing a drowned titanic person. the audition went really really well I think because Kelly was surprised with how I showed that character in a hole different light and she said she got some new ideas for it so I think I did a pretty good job.
Monday 9th
today we did a task called lonely heart. Kelly told us in the newspaper 30 years ago you can but a little bit about yourself and to see if anyone would want to date you. so we got someone lonely heart articles and we had to create a character. so my lonely heart was Dave who is 43 and so on and so on ( you can see it in the image below) after that we had to find someone else in the room who had a different character and try and find a match. we will be continue these activates in the coming weeks. however it has help me as an actor as it help us become my creative and helps us create a character from some sort of inspiration.
Tuesday 10th
today we did a peter pan rehearse as normal going through all the songs and singing them like company numbers and solos numbers. however we also did something different today for the Stockton globe project. we create a song for the jack the ripper victimise so we went away and try to create a song for the victimise. my group did that song but with a little bit of a rap and pop goes the weasels. I think it went pretty well but tom and the girl did a way better job then my group and all the other ones where amazing as well.
Wednesday 11th
today we first of all played games through the morning to get us warmed up. hen we got our roles for the Stockton globe project. I got the role of Willan T stead the one I audition for and I was really happy that I did because I but in a lot of work and spend a lot of time working on the character. so I'm really glad that it all paid off. so after that near the end of our lesson I got put with the group I was going to work with in the titanic section and we where brainstorm ideas for tomorrows rehearse and we had a few but we only had about 5 minutes so we did not get much done.
Thursdays 12th
today, me and my group went full steam ahead for getting the titanic section up and ready ! so our plan is that bunce and hare would enter the foyer of the theatre ( where our section is based ) and ones they had said there lines. I will enter from the back stair case and create suspense wiles by stomping my feet as I slowly go up the stairs. before I carry on I need to explain something first. we also got to go to the costume area and pick out our costume so I got a massive jacket and a top hat and walking cane. I also got a massive metals chain that rusted so now going back to the plan, when I'm somewhere near the top of the stairs case I will throw my chain onto the floor as a little jump scare. I still have hold onto the chain but I will like throw onto the floor if you get what I mean. then I will do my monologue entrance which include me throwing up water onto the floor out of my mouth and going from frozen for into normal. then we include a new part to our piece where one of the girl will run out and become begging to let her out of the 3 class section as they used to trap them down there. so she will give an emotional piece/ monologue about begging to be freed. next we have oli as the drunken chef and he was a real person who survived the titanic by being so drunk that when he jumped into the water he did not feel how cold the water really was. after that monologue I will wrap up that section of the performances and send them on there way to meet Mary Anne cotton, however we not done just yet. after they go see her they loop back down to us where this time we have a love monologue for Deloris and Freya where they both play the real jack and rose on the titanic. they are both 1 class passage but got separated in the progress. this is our plan for the show and we cant wait to run it through on Monday.
Monday 16th
today we did a few thing's. we started with a game task all about moving as one. this meant we had to stand up, walk ,run and sit back down all as one. we did this because its for our Stockton globe project which I will get to later on in these entry. after this, the years 1 carried on with our lonely heart project. so Kelly set up a lonely heart bar ( not a real bar ) and we had to go in as our characters and had fun at this bar. I think it was a really good excises because it helps us become our character and have our moments but not push yourself at the front as well. the last thing we did today was the final scene for the Stockton globe project. where everyone was in it. it was an exaction scene where we watch the jack the rippers and Mary anna cotton get killed and it end with guy Fawkes gang attacking us until Jonny walker save the audiences and lead them back outside. so this is where this morning task comes into play. we circle the audiences and move in on them making it creepy and suspenseful. which is good because it makes the performances 100 times better. we had little time so we did not finish it today
Tuesday 17th
today we did only 2 thing number, firstly we went over the audition songs for peter pan. so what every role like peter pan or Wendy has to sing in the audition. this is very helpful and exiting because we know that song I need to learn now for hook and secondly its exiting on how close we are getting to peter pan. the second thing today was getting the final scene finished and ready to perform and getting tips on how to do it by Morgan and Alan.
Wednesday 18th
today we spend the whole day at collage. on the morning our groups went off and practised our pieces. so our group did a really good job because we know now where everyone is going to be coming in and out off and we are all complete off script. the second thing we did after that was have a full run thought on everything on the afternoon. because we have two scripts one for the school performances and one for the nights there something that are different but today we went thought it and it went really well, a few thing we could of done better but other then that it went really well. I also stayed back to film our music video. day 1 out off 2 but I explain more about it on day 2.
Thursday 19th
today we first of all went to the black box room and got our costume sorted, second of all we had a full run through of the primary school kids scripts. this was good because we could look at some stuff that need to be changed and stuff we can keep in. its also helpful for me because i now know my lines to walk in on both performances now.
bonus day Friday 20th
today I went out on location to film the rest of the music video. the song is called would you go to my funeral by the crawler and it was so so fun filming because I never done t before but i cant wait for the movie projects to come out so i can hopefully audition and film in them
Monday 23rd
today its our tech day at the Stockton globe. so we where shown to our locations that where our scene will be performed, so for the titanic scene it was in the entrance of the Stockton globe and was the first room the audience would walk into when they start the tour. so when we where in there we ran through the scene and we sorted out where people would come in and out from which was very good. it was such a fun experiences and I can not wait for show day tomorrow!!!
Tuesday 24th
today is show day!!! so I arrived at the Stockton globe for about 11 ish and got everything ready in our room and then I was in the make up chair. makeup did such a good job at my makeup it was unbelieve how they could make me look the way I did. ( like a drowned first class person) then it was show time and today we had 2 performances out of the six. the first 2 was the adults and they where okay, the audiences was a little dry ( meaning there not so much interactive ) so it was a little hard interacting with them but I mange to pull thought.
Wednesday 25th
today is show day 2!!!! so I arrived at the Stockton globe at 9 to get ready for our second type of audience which would be children, so for this performances we had to keep it some of our scary parts out of it as it would of been to scary. and we where not in any make up as it would scary the kids too much. the audiences where much more interactive making it a better performances and we made 3 people cry #newrecored. after that we all where sent to the make up chair getting my make up done for a second time and it was much better this time as we went into more detail and we on for the second night performances. the audiences was so much better and I love this night way more then the first mainly because they where so more interactive which made the performances so so so much better.
NOVEMBER
Monday 6th
Today was our first day of our Peter pan audition. the whole of this next coming up week will all be about auditions for peter pan because after this week we will only have 4 weeks. today auditions was our acting ones. so we where given an audition pack to learn a scene and a song for the character we want to go for. the one I wanted to go for was hook and I spend the whole week off we had getting into the mind of him if that was research or playing around with the words and song until I found him. my speaking audition went really well I thought because I showed 3 types of hook in the 3 paragraphs that I had to learn. cocky, sadness and anger. and to get from one scene to another I played with the comedic timing.
Tuesday 7th
today was supposed to be singing but tommy was not in because of an appointment so we did acting part 2 which was the chemistry part of it. so Kelly puts us into groups for us the n to do a scene with the peter in my case to see how we bounces off each other. again I think we did a really good job at this because me and my peter Adam bounce off really well and the way we did the scene was also very good
Wednesdays 8th
today was a very big day. we had both singing and dancing auditions today. so in the first half of this morning. abbey took us through a small dance for us to-do wiles Kelly was watching. I thought I did okay, I'm not really a dancer but I thought that I could of done a little better but I not dance like that for over a year I say. I thought my singing went good I could of done better but I've now done what I've done.
Thursday 9th
today was the day we all thought we get the cast list. but Kelly needed some more time to find out for the people who did not get there first chose if they be good as there second. for my second I chose to be cello one of the talking pirates. i played him as an Italian pirate and i think i did a good job of him.
Monday 13th
today was the day we found out what roles we where getting for peter pan. we waited and played games all day for Kelly to tell us because she need to tell the people who did not get it what there roles where. so after a very long day of waiting i found out that i got hook which I am over the moon by!!!
the rehearsal start from tomorrow and i cant wait to see what install
Tuesday 14th
today was our first full day of rehearse. so the plan today was tom our singing teacher was going to go through every song in the musical wise we learnt our lines. so as tom was going through peters and Wendy's song me and my smee who will be played by will heart went to go and rehearse our first scene as hook and smee and it went really well. knowing from Kelly that in hook love to take about himself and smee just sits there and listens.
Wednesday 15th
today we did movement with abbey. so the lost boys learnt there first song and again me and will went and learnt our scene that we did yesterday and after we learnt that we ran through another scene at mermaids lagoon. me and peter also ran through our song I've got a funny feeling.
Thursday 16th
today I went through my first scene as hook with all of the cast in faith. what I mean by faith is that everyone has been but into casts faith ,trust and Pixi dust so my cast is faith. so I went through my first scene with Kelly and the cast and it was really good because it give me more of an understand of the character.
Monday 20th
today we where in the theatre for the last time this year and we where running the fight fight full scene before that at mermaids lagoon. it was a good run through as it give us the confidents to run through the song. and to then know the sword choreography was even better. my second part of my day was getting in touch with people for our relax performance's which went really well. we got 4 or 5 groups now but we where mainly making phone calls and going through scenes.
Tuesday 21th
today we had tom again for singing and we mainly did scene if we where not needed or run through song with tom like we did "goodbye peter pan" and from what I gather off a song where hook really to build up (through acting) how he quickly trying to kill pan to him being exited and happy over the fact off him killing pan.
Wednesday 22th
today we had Abby so before she got here we did a warm up with Gracie and Detrol then abbey did rich damp cake with us so we now also know what where doing during that song. one the topic of being warmed up we also with Aidan our fight captain did the moves and practised the first fight with him as well.
Thursday 23th
today we did a morning warm up with Gracie and delroy again and we did the final fight scene with tom. I had two learn 3 different fight today. the first one is hooks first section where him and peter run into the audiences and fight along there. my second fight is peter and hook final fight where hook is defeated and is then forced to walk the plank and die. and my third one being is the normal pirate is cast 2 faith. I have to say it was a fun but trying. but we cant wait to do more of it on Monday morning.
Monday 27th
today we moved out from collage into bobby dazzler and we started straight away with rehearsal with peter pan as we only have two weeks left before show week. today we mainly did one songs with all three cast and that was rich damp cake. we ran thought it and chained little bits to make the song look a lot better. I also went through other songs like goodbye peter pan as that is a big one for me.
Tuesday 28th
today we had Tom so we had a massive read through and sing through of the whole musical which was really helpful and fun to listen to everyone sing as a full company. after that me and my mate Callum went through an idea of peter and hook last fight scene which got approved by adian our fight captain so we spend the whole afternoon getting it polished and clean ready to teach.
Wednesday 29th
today we had abbey who was going over all our dances to make sure we where doing it right. she told us that the singing for rich dam cake was good but at the start we where to fast with the running about so we fix it and now its even better. we add a new part where Starkey will interrupt during the song.
Thursday 30th
today was the first out of the next week where all 3 cast will be doing a full run through. we started with cast 3 and it was really fun and helpful to play bill juke because I get the experiences of being the mail role and an ensample as well.
DECEMBER
Monday 4th
today we finished off cast 3 run through of peter pan. so we did act 2 with cast 3 and it went really well. there where a few mistakes here and there but that's wise we had the afternoon to fix everything. and polish. i was told that i was going to be interview by the BBC tomorrow which I'm really excited for and cant wait.
Tuesday 5th
today was the cast 1 run through of peter pan which i was most excited for as that was my Hook.
i also had my interview as well but i got it mix up it was tomorrow. so we did a full run through of cast 1 arc 1 and 2 and it went really really well. only a few thing that would need to be run over would be the sword fighting for all scene but nothing massive.
Wednesday 6th
today was cast 2 run through of peter pan and was my interview with the Bcc. it was again good to run through cast 2 of everything as we where all confident as pirates what we grab for rich damp cake and who we where fighting. it was also great to be interview about the relax performance's. thanks to Kelly, me and will who is also another leading person be hide the performance's plan. we spoke about what makes us inspireded to do this show and how we both got into acting. we took some photos of me and will and that was it.
Thursday 7th
today was our last day at bobby dazzlers. although eventful it was a good last day of rehearsals. we all went over thing that needed to be doing and because of the events of the day i lost my Starkey which mean i have to learn all the scene again with the other Starkey whitch is a challenge I'm ready to take on.
Monday 11th
today was TECH DAY 1. so the plan was to have a full tech run with set and costume and everything with cast 1 because our show was on Wednesday so the pressure was on. also today me and will where interviewed again by BBC radio whitch was fun again. it was really helpful and everything start to become real now.
Tuesday 12th
today was our TECH DAY 2. still with cast 1 we ran through act 2 and got everything sorted even the anoument for preshow. me and will went around sorting about place to but people for the relax performances to welcome them in. we also ran throguht again all our scene with both starkey so its been a long and hard day.
Wednesday 13th
Today was SHOW DAY. this was the big day for me as it was my cast who was going first. the relax performances went amazing. everyone there loved it absolutely loved it. all we got where positive reviews. we had about a 5 hour gab between the shows so Kelly said we doing a cast 3 run throught as there show day is tormorrow. it made Kelly cry and not in the good way. so after that we all went and got ready for the VIP night. again it was a blast. we thought more poeple would of been there but it was still a very good show. it was a little sad for me as that was the very last time i would play hook with the cast.
Thursday 14th
today was SHOW DAY 2. this time it was with cast 3. they had a primary school come in this morning and it was an azming audiences all the kid where so happy to be there. after the show cast 3 did such a good job Kelly was not worried anymore whitch was good. we did the night perforamces and it was amxing as well. we also did a run of cast 2 and it went reallly well.
Friday 15th
today was the LAST SHOW DAY 3. and i was a normal pirate today. we did the morning perfornes and all went to plan. it was a clean and happy show. then with our 5 hour gab we sat around and had a dance battle. then we got ready for the final show and we gave peter pan such a good send off. most of the cast was crying. i was not but it was a really good way yo send off the show.
JANUARY
Tuesday 9th
First day back at collage from the new year and today we had Tom. Instead of learning song's every week, Tom will be teaching us acting styles. This week we learnt Stanislavski. He was a practitioner who loved naturalistic work because in 1800 and 1900 century Russia there type of theatre was like panto and he hated it because he believed that you should lose yourself in the world of the story being shown on stay as much as possible. Like a book. So we did some of his Techniques like emotion memory where you would act an emotion like happiness but think of a time or a memory when you where happy to create a more realistic performances. Then there was the What If, this is where we would do a scene. After we finish it we had to do a what If, so it maybe your character act different or is portrayed different to make the scene much better then it was before. Finally we did a scene from one of his plays about an engagement which was a bit of a comedy. Also showing that his methods does not mean that you can only use them in a serious scene or play.
Wednesday 10th
Today was our first day working on our connection script shout. we did a warmup which was WHAW which got us all focused this morning. After that Kelly told us about the script and its themes before we started a read through. firstly the script was okay nothing to Amazing but I think that what makes it challenging which is good. secondly I think the Role I mainly want to go for is Con because I think its a character I think I can pull of really well. After lunch some of us came back and sign up to Alan play. For us to fully understand the play we had to understand his story. no words just no words.
Thursday 11th
Today we did 2 things. we started with a game of Mafia boss before we did a letting go activity. an important part of this play is letting go. it is shown many time thought out the show. from dana sing to the ending scene where all the cool kids talk about there problem and the last scene of freaks and geeks when they all walk out. so what we did was we all but in our headphones and started to play music that we could sing too and just let go. They did this at the workshop in London for the directors. it was really good just too let go and ones the song was done you could sit down and watch the other, it was really nice and made me feel better as an actor. the second thing we did today was get into groups and we where given a scene to-do. Our group got chosen the library scene and I played Tristen Which was really fun to be fair.
Monday 15th
Today we where in the dance studio, we started off the day by doing a warm up of question splat to get us focused ( I'm never any good at that game). Then we got split into roles that we wanted to go for in Shout. we then sat with our group and talk about why we wanted to go for this role and what did we see inside this role. We then had to chose a scene from the script for our role because we would then be using that scene as our audition piece. So after looking through the script I chose the final freak and geeks scene because it showed the most range with con. After lunch we started on the Snowdrop rehearsals, we got through most of the scene including the first train station scene ,Train scene and the Poland scene. It was a really good first Rehearsal and its nice to see how happy Alan was. I've also got the role of volunteer.
Tuesday 16th
Today we had Tom and we are learning about Brecht. We learnt about where he came from and what time period he was living in, then we talked about his work. He believe that the audience should just remember its just a show on a stage, and he would want to be more creative with the story telling in a more unnaturalistic way. Like breaking the 4th wall or having a narrator or even having the actors just stand at the back of the stage and not go off for the whole show. We then did a scene from one of his plays that he wrote. They are all mainly set in 1930's Germany because that is where he lived before he fled the country after the raise of the Nazi's. In our group we did a piece on the Hitler youth program and about how one of the boys could not say the lines correctly to the oath and we was made fun off and punish by the general, I had the audience sat in the middle of the scene so they had something to always look at. I think our scene went really well and the rest of the groups where as well. Finally we talk about plays and musical that we thought had some Brecht styles like come from away and Oh what a lovey war.
Wednesday 17th
Today was audition day, we started the day by playing a massive murder mystery. The game is where one person would be the killer and there be another who is the doctor. Each round the killer would kill someone and then we had to vote out who we think is mostly likely the killer, if we vote out the killer we win but if the killer is the last one left then they win. This helps us with characterization because we also had to act like a town person in the village. Then we spent a little time getting ready for the auditions before we all sat down and watch them all. Everyone did such a good job at each role I'm glad I'm not casting the show because it would be a very hard job seen as everyone smashed it. sadly we ran out of time so have to do mine tomorrow which is no worries gives me more time to prepare.
Thursday 18th
Today was my audition day. I spent a little bit of time getting ready as the rest of the class started warm ups. Sadly my audition did not go well at all. I had the voice of Hook and T-stead which is not good, so Kelly ask me too do it again but in my normal voice but it was still was not as good. But its a learning curve and something to work on for the end of year shows auditions.
Monday 22nd
Today was call back day for our connection script shout. Sadly I did not get a call back for my role for Con but that is okay because I know what I need to work on. As the call backs where happing, we did a improvised piece and it was named the day when everything changed. We did this comedy piece which was very silly but everyone found it funny so we did a good job. We then started to work on a little film piece just about a scene we get given and we got put into groups. My group is with Erin and oli and we did this scene about 2 girls trying to get into a night club. I'm playing the bouncer and its a pretty funny piece. Finally Kelly gave us a task that each day we should record ourself doing a Vocal warm up for 10 minutes to improve diction.
Tuesday 23rd
Today we had Tom and we learnt about soup opera theatre. Soap opera theatre is basically a reality TV show on the stage like coronation street. An example of this would be don't look back in anger by Osborne. The main thing we did today was we got into groups because we where going to be doing an Assignment on a practitioner, my group is me Oli and Hayley and we have chosen to do Joan Littlewood and I cant wait to get started.
Wednesday 24th
today we mainly did 3 thing, Firstly we all found out about the cast for Shout but sadly I did not get Con however I still got same which is one of the cool boys so I'm grateful that I have a role in the show and that I'm apart of it. Next some of theY1 Film students came in and told us about there new project, a little short film called Oblivious which is a rip off script of clueless. after taking with the filmmakers and putting myself down for the film I got a leading role which is great. Finally Abbie got us into a circle and we played a game about Dana. we had to pass the click around as someone in the middle tried to catch it. it does seem stupid because you cant catch a click but that's the point, dana the main role is a selective Mute. So its shows and help us understand what it is like for her.
Thursday 25th
today we had Kelly and we played games to help us just to act and not overthink when acting. also she help us understand about acting surprises. as actor we already know what happens but we cant act like we already know ts coming if you get me. and that was really it for today.
Monday 29th
Today we start our first scene of shout which was the therapist scene, we start by the role of the therapist Charlie improve a lesson but we had to be our characters. So as some of the cool kids we messed around for most of the lesson and also got kicked out of her lesson. The next thing that we did was we where told to bring in a sock so we could make some sock puppets, it was funny because all our puppets look likes us. The last thing we did was we made a dance for our Snake puppets, we did our dance to the pink panther music and we did some cool monition like a canon effect and we all move one by one to surround dana. We showed it to everyone and they seemed to love it which was great.
Tuesday 30th
Today we had Kelly and we did the opening scene for shout. we started by walking around in the space recreating noise, so then we could Hide dana when everyone comes in. Then Dana comes to the Front and starts saying her lines. We also have to learn when to stay Quite and when to speak. On the afternoon I had filming for a film I'm apart off, Y1 film that is. I was only needed for one scene but it was great seeming everyone in costume and we were all so exited.
Wednesday 31th
Today it was the levels 2 taster session, we played a few Warm up games with them and show them what it was like to be in our class. We played Games like Ninja and Plat and many more games. Kelly need some time to talk with the level 2 to talk about our course so we went into there class room and did some yoga, this is relevant because in the freak and geeks scene's they all do yoga so in our character we did a Yoga class so again I was messing around and not taking it serious being a cool boy. However it was a really fun and helpful task. We also had some filming but because of problem we could not get anything done
(FEBRUARY)
Thursday 1st
Today we where assign another scene to-do, the scene that we where given to-do was the Dana first panic attack scene. She is worried about not being able to get into university. Our groups idea was having Dana in front centre stage as the other in the back started to represent her heart but by banging our feet on the group and start to speed it up until the end but sadly we did not get it finished. One of Kelly's Ex Students came in and he told us about his work and some of his opportunity he had for us, some casting calls for some films all stuff very exiting.
Friday 2nd
Today was my main day of filming for the Y1 film. We started by finding a classroom to film in as sadly someone on the teams forgot to book it out. Then all morning we filmed all of the scene I was in and I've got only one more left. It was great seeing everyone so passionate about the project. I think the greatness part of today was seeing all the bloopers that will be added at the end of the film's
Monday 5th
Today we welcome the year 2 back from there little side project Camp Phoenix, we played some Warm up game's and they where all about being one, so we mirrored each other movement and had to run around as one and just be in synch with each as Kelly say's. Then we showed the Y2 our snake dances and ran through our opening scene where we then added everyone in. On the afternoon we did some rehearsal's for Allan play Snowdrop as the show will be on Friday, we went through all of the scene that I was apart off. I cant wait to but this one because its going to be such a good show.
Tuesday 6th
Today was the last day of filming for Obvious, we had to wait around a long time because there was music playing really load in the theatre so we waited all morning and start filming at lunch. We fully wrapped up the film and it was fun but sad to see it finish. After changing out of my costume I did a full run through of Snowdrop and it is so emotional.
Wednesday 7th
Today we did a shout rehearsal, we start with the opening scene and polished up some parts like practicing how to go from loud to silence and move as one. Then we did the admission scene a learnt a movement to go with it. The idea is that we all walk around Dana on stage as she is talking. After that, we get into a circle and start passing books around until we stack I up on Aidan to put it onto the stable. This was very hard to do but we can work on it because we still do have a month or so.
Thursday 8th
Today was our tech day for snowdrop, we started by getting into our changing rooms and getting all our stuff down and getting ready for the Tech run. It did take a long time for them to get the lighting right but it was all worth it as the show just look amazing. It was also so great to see how Happy Alan was.
Friday 9th
Today was show day today, in the afternoon we ran the show over and over to make sure we got it right. As a class we all got Alan a little present which he started crying over. We did the show and wow what a performances, Alan really did an outstanding performances and we all made everyone cry at the end. I'm so happy Alan was able to get his story out there and I think he was too.
Monday 12th
Today we did a run through of shout for what we had done so far. We made a few changes with the opening scene which makes it runs so much better now. We also worked on the next scene which was a scene where Dana is taking to a Teacher about University's she can go too. So it took us the rest of the day to sort out but we did do a movement piece where we had to pass the books around as we move closer into the circle, creating a very powerful scene Kelly said which is good because we want to stand out.
Tuesday 13th
Today we did 2 thing, we carried on work with the project about Joan Littlewood. I got the template down for our PowerPoint seen as I was the only one in today so I told my group what I did and sent it into our teams chat. Before that Tom had a talk with us about the end of year performances. because last years show was female heavy this one will be male heavy. the show that we are doing is one flew over the cuckoos nest. Tom told us about how the auditions will work, we all need to find our own monolog and show it to them at a confirmed date and also make an Actors CV. The also told us about thing they don't want to here like Sex or Period pain's. Finally they said it has to be from a play and not just from a website.
Wednesday 14th
Today we had a day off work and we played valentine day game because sometime we forgot to love each other and appreciate each other so we played some games to remind that. We play games like walking around the room and telling some that you love them and why. Also having a lot of sing along to guess the song and finally writing down on a note and telling a person how proud of them we are and why which was nice.
Thursday 15th
Today the main class did the next scene in shout which was a class room scene but I had to go out and help with auditions for Teachers. All of the performances did a really good job but we had to cut 2 lose for the calls back but it was a really good day. My involment with teachers is I will be Stage manager for Teacher if the Desk gets up and working.
Monday 26th
Today was our first day back after from our week off. I mainly did two thing today. Number one we got the snake dance scene completely done and the dance as well. it was great to see the snake dance be inspirated from my group dance we did before the week off. The second thing I did today is I got the stage desk WORKING! this is great because it gives me a task to work on and maybe I could be using it in the coming future.
Tuesday 27thToday we had Tom and Kelly and we where going through some monologs. They gave us some monology from the NYT Book for both gender and gave us some tips for what to look for and what to keep away from. then we got into groups and talk about how we think it should be portrayed or any different way it could be portrayed. Then we saw soe of the other Monologs and they where all really good.
Wednesday 28th
Today we where doing a big shout rehearsal, we got through 3 SCENE TODAY that being the freaks and Geeks scene then linking onto the snakes scene then finally link onto the assembly scene. Even thought there was a lot of stopping and starting we did get through it in the end and it looks amazing. We also did a read through of Hunted but I'm not really a fan off it because the script is good and I think Callum will do a good job at directing it but I've got my eyes on one flew over the cuckoo nest. So my focus its shout and that.
Thursday 29th
Today was a little bit of a boring day because the scene that where being done today did not involved me so I went into the LRC to finish off the script me and Oli are writing and it is fully finished i am happy to say, we sent it off to Kelly for her to have a little read.
MARCH
Friday 1st
Today I did a workshop with this guy named Umar and we played games some warm up games like running down the room as an animal or playing the Czechoslovakia game and Ninja. after that where wear given a word and we had to create a still image from it. our word was gladiator so we recreated a gladiator Pit and even thrown in a movie refences. it was a really fun day with Umar and i cant wait to come see his show.
Monday 4th
Today was another full day at collage, with only 2 weeks to go until SHOUT. This morning start off with a photo shoot which I think should be for next year program for collage. We then did some warms up with Alan and Gracie. Alan did a vocal warm up. Gracie did a movement warm up. I also got pulled out and got told about a role that Harvey wanted me to play a teacher called Mr Barford which was great. The first thing we did in the morning was go back over the first scene again but we made some changes. now we go slow motion to give it a better effect which I love and makes the scene 10 times better, after that we did this task called " I'm falling" where we would walk around in the space and then we say I'm falling and everyone would have to run over and catch them. after that we did the final scene where we all catch dana. after lunch I help the mean girl with there Instagram take over and called it a day.
Tuesday 5th
Today we had tom in the Theatre and we start the day off by playing some warm up and some games that theatre company's may ask you to play in an audition. we start off by doing this exercise about have to catch the ball then pass it on to the next but however there will be more then one ball going about at the same time. it was all about concentration and i did really well. then after that we had to do a little script piece about red riding hood and our group could off been better but there always so thing to improve on. finally we sat down with tom and just talk about some important stuff that us actors should look out for.
Wednesday 6th
Today we started off in the theatre and we started to play some warm up games like cat and mouse and chicken hut. cat and mouse is basically Tig and chicken Hut game is where you have to get partner up and if the host shout chicken hut you and you partner will then have to create it but its all about who's being the fastest. it gets our brains working on a morning and helps us when it comes to queues in a show. so we started the day off with going over and changing the second scene with the books, t now makes it so much better because instead of doing the circle we are now slamming the books on the table and going be hide dana and making a wave around her which looks really good. after break we did the final scene which again looks just amazing as we all gave it so much energy and i think how we carry dana away at the end is just amazing.
Thursday 7th
today we started the very first rehearsal for teachers this afternoon. we had a talk about how and what they wanted from each off our characters. then we started with the first scene of the main character and off the teacher and they both went really well. i cant for this to devolve into some just great.
Monday 11th
Today we started the day by doing a vocal warm up with Alan, we started off by doing some massaging our face ,neck and head before doing some lip drills, then we went into some 1 2 3 4 5. ( its a song that we sing really fast like 12345123451234523445123 and so on and on) then we sang when the grand old duke of York and then we moved onto today's task. so today we did on the Morning a full run through of shout and just going thought it all even some new scenes like the notices bored scene and the freaks and Greeks rooms part . on the afternoon me and Oli finished the last part of the PowerPoint ready for tomorrow. then i went with Harvey and did a teachers rehearsal with him going over the same scene.
Tuesday 12th
Today we sat and got ready to do our presentation about Joan Little wood but we sadly did not go today because one of our people oli was ill. so we are doing it next Tuesday but the other presentation was really good and some of there practical's where good as well. and the practical's where really fun as well like having to sing talk through an improve scene and Creating a still image over a word. all the group did such a good job and I'm proud of all of them.
Wednesday 13th
today we started by play some warm up games with the levels 2's. we played Ninja ,WAW and splat before we did a performances of Shout in front of them, the run did really good and it was nice to hear that they liked it. on the afternoon i had the photo shoot for Teacher and that was a blast too. its amazing how we get to see everyone in costume. and we ran through all the scenes in costume which was just great as well.
Thursday 14th
Today we had our first tech day of Shout. we did the normal warm up with Alan which was from lips drills and shouting towards the furthest wall to increase our vocal range. then we did some stretch's with Gracie and we had to then sit for most of the day they the Tech Crew did the lights. so for the first half of the day we all sat down and as they did the lights we read through the whole script. after the light where done and we got to the end of the play we all did the last few scene including the last class room scene and the final scene which is really good because we done it so we have a massive group photo and then the photo taken. then Dana say's her final lines as we all dance of stage.
Monday 18th
Today was the first day of show week. This morning was my sporty warm up session for Unit 6 and 7. we started by getting everyone into 2 different teams. one group would get into a circle and start passing the ball around as the other teams would try to tackle the ball of them. so like a massive game of piggy in the middle. I started to see that people wear not very good at passing so our second task i got everyone in a massive circle and I taught them how to pass. To finish things off we got everyone into groups off 4 and we had a little tournament. How the game works is two teams squat down in front of 4 balls i start saying body parts out loads and they got to but there hand on that parts, for example if i said head or back they but there hands on there heads. when i say ball they had to grab the ball as fast as they can. the group with the most balls wins and move up the table. when the final team won and the game was over did got ready and did a full run through of shout. I think everyone was a little tried as Kelly was not happy with us. this was because people where not focused and were playing with a football backstage. Also people on there phones and just not listening or watching the other perform. so we went for Lunch and we all got into full costume ready for a dress run-through of the show. It was way better this time because everyone was focused and it was one of our best runs yet.
Wednesdays 20th
Today we stared off with Sporty warms ups parts 2, today was Rugby so we started off by getting everyone into groups and doing body warms ups including legs ,ankles ,head and arms. After that we did a movement warm up before we started our first game. The first game was Rugby bull dog and its the same as normal bull dog however to catch someone you need to hold there hips. Everyone seemed to love the game as everyone took part and we only got positive feedback, After that we played the shoe game as normal but with a twist. that being you could go and do rugby passes. what we did today and on Mondays is all apart for our Task 2 for the unit 6 and 7 assignment. Now moving on with today which was our tech run day, the rehearsal went a little wrong because the year 1 are new to how small the wing space is at our theatre. On the afternoon they did another run through wiles I went with Alan to go shoot for a movie me and him are in, it was really fun meeting the Cast and crew and they all seem so lovely.
Thursday 21st
Today was Show day. We started by going through some of yesterdays notes before Doing a full run of the show. They wear some scene change and some scene polishing nothing to big. Then we did a full run through with everything and it was amazing it was one of our runs yet. Everyone was so in the zone and everything went so perfectly. There wear some notes about volume but that something that can be easily fixed, we then had about 3 hours to go and grab some food before we came back and did another warm up with Alan before we got backstage to get ready for the show. The show went so good we had a standing ovation at the end !!!! I think it was defiantly one of our best performance's yet and the woman from the National theatre Loved it as well. So much so that she want us to be apart of her Shakespeare company which is a great opportunity because we get actually payed.
Monday 25th
Today was mainly a full day of teecher rehearsals but before that we played worlds worst audition because Kelly wanted us to act out what not to-do in a audition for the end of year show. Then we did our teecher rehearsal which was a good one because we got to use the theatres for the first time. we still got a lot more scene to-do however we going in over the holiday.
Tuesday 26th
Today was the day when I did the PowerPoint presentation about Joan Little wood, it went so so well. Nothing went wrong which was good and some people like our practice but people are not the biggest fans of improve I guess but its fair to have an option. everyone else did such a good job with there and I'm so proud of them all. To finish the day off Tom talked to us about Shakespeare monology helping us for that audition.
Wednesday 27th
Today we where only given 1 task. That was to do this script called bouncers and we needed to be as creative as possible. the story is about these lads going on a nights out and they switch to the girls point of view. its a fun script and we got a lot planned.
Thursday 28th
Today we did our final rehearsal for bouncers before we showed everyone. our plan was we dress as proper boys ready for a night out but underneath we had a dress on to which to the girls. Everyone loved our performances and Kelly said we got it bang on the money. she also said that this was our first part of our audition and she was testing us to see how hard we could work with a task at short notice which is important for the end of year show so I'm really glad me and the lads put in the work.
Monday 15th
Today was our audition day for our end of year show one flew over the cuckoos nest. I did a lot of preparation for this audition seen as we found out the play in February, i went straight to work finding the right monologue. I chose a monologue from father inside which was a NYT production in 2008. the monologue was from a character called brownie and he talks about his father who the does not have a good bond with just like chief from one flew... I think it went really good because Kelly love my performances during it and she know i have a great understanding of the play which is good and all I can do now is hope for the best. For the rest of the day, I start to do unit 8 our final unit in year one.
Tuesday 16th
Today we finish up the auditions and start a massive read through of both scripts. We found out that the second end of year show is radium girls so you could be put into either show. we started with radium girls, The role that I read in for was Mr Roader, He is the factory owner I believe and he is kind off the villain in the story. I think he is a really good role to play because he is killing everyone in the factors but he does not realise it. However I don't think its the role for me because I've played a villain in the last 2 shows. After lunch we did a read thought of one flew over the cuckoos nest. I got up and read for Chief and McMurphy, I loved reading in for both roles but I loved reading Chief more then McMurphy because I think Chief has way more about him then McMurphy. More subtext is the right word.
Wednesday 17th
Today we had our Shout rehearsal and i had my Deja-vu audition as well. To start, Our shout rehearsal went okay because it was the first time we done it in three weeks so it was a little ruff. However he still did a good job with the show there just some little improvement that need doing but nothing Major which is good. We get one more next week before we go to York. On the afternoon I had my Deja-vu audition and I went for the role of john who is the main character of the story and he himself is a very interesting character. I did my audition and it went really well and she said it was really really good. I got a message for a call back for the morning so I cant wait to see how it goes.
Thursday 18th
Today I start off with the call back for Deja-vu, and I did my call back and I got called back in when everyone left to be told that I got the role of john which I was really happy about and cant wait to get started on. After lunch we moved onto our lesson and today we only had one task. That was to find a part in the script that you like go off and learnt it and come show it to me. So I went to Callum who wanted to play McMurphy and we did the scene where Chief speaks for the first time. We showed it to Kelly the first time and she did not like how i spoke, She said you went to much off the film and she wanted me to be my own Chief. so i went and improve it by chancing more voice where it sound low but it was at a more conferrable level and that I did not sound like a robot. I show it to her for a second time and she said it was much better. I think if i do get Chief i will move forward in that direction and not like the film for any role that i get.
Monday 22nd
Today we had a Shakespearean theatre company come in and hold some auditions for there company. we started by playing a warm up games like what you doing and a bottle game. This is a new game that we learn and everyone has to get into teams of the same number then get into a line holding hands. The two people at the bottom of the line has too look at the other person who's holding a coin, If it lands on heads you must squeeze the other person down and they must sent that squeeze all the way to the top of the line and the person has the other end must try and grab the bottle first before the other teams does but that's only when they feel the squeeze. however if it lands on tails then they can not go for it. they can only squeeze on heads. After our warm up, we did some singing warms and sang some of the songs that where going to be apart of as you like it. We sang my mother told me which is a Viking song and it sound really good, After that we move onto some stage combat before lunch and that was really fun to-do. We learnt how to push and fall on our backs before going thought a piece of combat movement with a partner. After lunch we had our auditions and I chose my monologue from Julius Caeser act 2 scene 1 Brutus. I say it went okay because it was my first time doing Shakespeare and I cant lie it was not the best but I think I still did pretty good for my first time. Finally we where giving a monologue from as you like it do to wile people where auditions. he had the style of doing it in a goes wrong fashion and it was so funny because we came up with such good ideas. I think today has been a good day because it was a good experiences to learn a different type of audition progress.
Tuesday 23rd
Today we had another rehearsal for Shout, Our run through this time was a lot better and I think everyone was in the right headspace and I think everyone improved on there notes from last time. We also talk about what could be different at York and to be ready to expect that there going to be no wing space. Kelly told us that we where finding out the casting list for one flew over the cuckoos nest so we all went for lunch but everyone was so nervous. we all came in back after lunch and we got the cast list. I found that i got the role of Chief in cast one and as Turk ( the night guard) in cast 2 for one flew over the cuckoos nest. I am so so happy and grateful that I've got the role of chief and Turk. we started with the first scene today but we had little time so we just got the first scene done today.
Wednesdays 24th
Today was our York trip, we all got on the bus and got stuck in traffic for 2 hours. When we finally made it to York we got some time to go and get some food and explore before we started. It was cool see the old city and the shop's WHERE AMZING!!!! We all met back at the York theatre. We started our day be doing a workshop with on of the creative producers at York. we played 2 games before our tech run. The first one was we all got into a circle and we had to act like nuns, some had to go up to another nun and ask to send a message to another nun but you would have to send the message in whatever way or thing that you say. We had to make sure we could not laugh at all or we would be out. The other game we played was all about debating what food belongs where. so for example potato does it belong in a soap ,sallied or sandwich and that was the game. We then went into our changing rooms got ready and went into our studio space to-do our 2 hour tech run, the run went pretty well we got used to our new space and adjusted all our entrances and exits. When we got back to our changing room, Kelly told us that we are in the running of being selected to go to London so the pressure is now very high. The performances went amazingly, my mum and dad said it was better then the one we did at collage which is good because that shown improvement. After that we watch he other connections show which was good and we got back onto the bus i headed home. I think today was just a a amazing experiences because i can now say i have performed at another theatre and I've made some connections as well. Lets hope we make it to London.
Thursday 25th
Today was a busy day, I started today off with First day of filming for Deja-vu, we filmed scene 4 today and its when my character john is in a red room where u create photos. it was a very creepy scene as it makes the audience question if he is good or not. Then on the afternoon we had a run through of the first scene again for one flew over and we went into the LRC to print out scripts. we showed it to the radium girls and then I had to go film for atomic tangerine where it was my death scene, i can happily say after today I was very tried but it was a good day full of work i cant wait to crack on with !
Monday 29th
Today was another full day at the collage, We started today by play a game of ninja just to get us all awake on a Monday morning. Then after that we all get together a had a little dance / letting go thing that we used to do in shout just so we all feeling ready for the day but not many people but effort in so that was not good. Finally Sienna did a vocal warm up with us and we did some of tom classics like 12345 and oh when the saints and finally the grand juke of York. After our warm up we start our one flew over the cuckoos nest rehearses, Today we just went back over scene 1 and 2 with cast 1 in the morning because we still needed to sort out where and how everything was going to be moved into place and etc. I think it was really helpful because we got the first 2 scene full block and everything now so we should start to carry on with the rest of the play. Then it was time to switch with the radium girls so we went into 224 to-do some work regarding collage. After me and Elliot who is the cast 2 chief both did our we spent lunch going over chief lines and the meaning behind them. understanding the subtext of chief. We even both came up with the idea of some sounds to go along with the monologue. For the rest of the afternoon i started to learn my lines as it was the same scene but with a cast 2 run through.
Tuesday 30th
Today I had a very busy day, It started off with scarlet and sienna by taking us through a warm up drill being movement with scarlet and vocals with sienna. Then we start our rehearsal which lasted all day and we got from scene 2 always the way to the end of act 1. I can happily say I was absolutely tired but I was so happy that we got to the ending of act 1 because I have one of my biggest moment in the show at the ending of act 1 so it was so cool to do it. Finally in the afternoon I started another filming day with Maisie and we filmed scene 6 with Aj and scene 1 with Laura. The scene with Aj went really really well as it the real first time in the film you get the sense of horror in the film and Aj did an amazing performances. Then the scene with Laura was amazing as well. we get a sense of love but creepiness at the same time. Overall everyone did an amazing job.
Wednesday 1st
Today was a little bit of a weird one. Kelly and some of the class went off to London as apart of the writer group for connections. So I had to go into collage anyways to film my final part of atomic tangerine, It was a really good shoot and we work really fast on it as well. it also mean that was a wrap on Atomic Tangerine. After filming some of the cast member where know for one flew over so we started the final scene because my ideas is to do it with the music because it would sound a lot better and would make the scene a lot better. we sadly did not have a lot off time to finish it but we can say we started it. For the rest of us who stayed back we started taking about set design and where would be best to but the black box that chief picks up at the end of the show
Thursday 2nd
Today is MY BIRTHDAY DAY is the first thing. Secondly I started of the day by going to the green screen room to start filming however we could not get everything done as 2 of the actors did not show up. It not great but what can you do really however we did finish the end of scene one / scene 2 and we started on scene 8 we just need to finish filming it. Then on the afternoon we started to rehearse the final scene of act 1 to show to the class. The scene its about the vote for the baseball game and chief massive scene where they but his hand up to vote. we should both cast of it to the rest of the class and they all oved it saying it was some really good acting.
Friday 3rd
Today was a on location filming day for Maisie film, In the morning we filmed the 3rd scene where john and Maisie meet for the first time. Its a really creative scene because of where we filmed as there a colour contrast on the wall that makes it seems really happy in a weird but good way. Then we went for lunch and filmed the other Daisey and john scene when after john see the dead body of jane 2 he see's Daisey and she wants him to go away but he attacks her. this was a really good and intense scene as well because it now feels like the story is really ramping up as we only got the scary scene left to-do.
